Victoria Westhead (Legal Advisor to BREXPATS IN SPAIN) – a British Solicitor who previously worked for 10 years in local government in the UK. Victoria moved to Spain over 4 years ago and set up as a lawyer on the Costa del Sol.
Victoria says – Membership of the EU allowed me to exercise my freedom of movement in my profession. After learning Spanish and frequent visits to the country I decided to take advantage of my right to live and set up in another member state being safe in the knowledge that as an EU citizen my qualifications would be recognised. I now have concerns that I will not be able to continue to practise law in Spain after Britain leaves the EU. We all need to be proactive in making sure we maintain our acquired rights and through this association we can play a vital role in making our voices heard in the UK, Europe and in Spain.
